1. About the Service
VenueVation is an online directory of community halls and similar venues in Alberta and across Canada and the United States. We allow venue owners or authorized representatives to claim and manage their own listings.
All information in the directory (addresses, photos, pricing, availability, contact details, descriptions, etc.) is provided and updated directly by the person who claims or creates the listing. VenueVation does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any listing. We are not responsible for incorrect, outdated, or misleading information.
2. Your Responsibilities as a Listing Owner / Claimant
When you claim or create a listing, you promise that:
- You are the owner or have legal authority from the owner to manage the listing.
- All information and photos you upload are accurate, current, and do not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, or privacy rights.
- You will keep the listing updated and remove it if the venue closes or you no longer manage it.
- You will not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or misleading.
3. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the photos and text you upload, but you grant VenueVation an unlimited, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute that content as part of the directory.
4. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Create fake listings or claim someone else’s venue without permission
- Use the site to spam, harass, or collect personal data for marketing
- Attempt to hack, overload, or interfere with the Website
- Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, etc.) to copy listings in bulk
5. No Warranty – Use at Your Own Risk
The Website and all listings are provided “as is” without any warranties. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, or secure. You use the directory at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Canadian law, VenueVation and its owners will not be liable for any damages (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) arising from:
- Inaccurate or outdated listing information
- Disputes between you and another venue owner or visitor
- Loss of data, downtime, or any other issue with the Website
7. Indemnification
You agree to cover any costs or damages we incur if someone sues us because of content you posted or because you violated these Terms.
8. Termination
We may suspend or delete any listing or account that violates these Terms without notice.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Website means you accept the changes.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada.
