Nice facility , nothing fancy but always seems clean. The ice prep staff are friendly. The clubhouse sandwich at the food counter is awesome! The food and bar staff are friendly. The tables are situated such that half the people at the table have their backs to the ice (?). Simply rotating the tables 90 degrees would allow almost everyone to see the ice.
I joined the Discovery League…love it. All friendly, can join as a single and meet new people… curling club is nice…an upstairs cafe/lounge to watch the games and socialize.
This was a great curling rink in a central location with parking. After curling enjoy some good food. They have a canteen downstairs and a nice lounge area upstairs with a viewing area. The nachos were very cheese forward. We also ordered chicken wings, cheese sticks, veggies and dip and samosas.
Had a two hour novice lesson along with some friends with an instructor Chris and had an amazing time. Got to learn more about the sport’s history, moving on ice with the broom, throwing stones with spin, and even got to some practice where we got to try sweeping.
Chris is obviously passionate about curling, knows a lot about it, and can teach effectively. Was a ton of fun and Chris was a huge part of it – thanks for the amazing experience!
Great place to learn curling, lessons are affordable and instructors are great with everyone, any level. Food and drinks are very good.
