My husband and I got married at Willow Acres a year ago. The property is so beautiful, clean, and classy! There were so many photo ops in the area! Our guests loved roaming around the property as well. We couldn’t get enough taking pictures as there were so many great photo spots! Anna, the owner, is so friendly and kind. She is always prompt in responding to emails, and makes sure that she is available when needed. She is, to say the least, one of our best vendors in our wedding – She is a dream to work with! My husband and I will always have a special place in our hearts for Willow Acres and Anna. ❤️ Would book again in this venue in a heart beat.
This venue is absolutely stunning! Got married here at June 6, 2025. The indoor space is accommodating and gorgeous, the outdoor grounds are second to none. Our guests wandered on romantic strolls in the trees, with so many excellent photo spots, they even sprayed for bugs so it was exceptionally amazing to be outside. They have a really cool patio where we hosted our dance and our guests loved it! A patio seating area with patio heaters and everything.
Willow Acres has a lot of decor options which make it super easy to plan out and clean up. They added a professional bar and our bartenders loved working behind it.
It’s easy to find and just enough off the beaten path to be private.
Working with Anna, as a planner bride, was easy and smooth. She has a lot of great options and easy to fill out questionnaires to keep us on the same page.
Thank you Anna and your team for hosting our special day and I’d definitely recommend Willow Acres to anyone who loves nature, a modern wedding space and lots of space to roam and explore.
Very kind owners, they’re very caring and helpful. Had a wonderful experience renting the property and venue from them!
We booked a viewing and instantly fell in love at first sight. Even though our wedding date was two years away, Anna was incredibly accommodating with all our appointments and always communicated quickly. The price is very reasonable, and what impressed us most is how the team is constantly improving the venue and services. Over the two years, we saw so many thoughtful additions, which showed just how dedicated they are.
Anna went above and beyond—she was supportive during our décor setup and even stepped in to help when our bar ran short on shot glasses. On our wedding day, Willow Acres made everything feel magical, beyond what we had dreamed of. The venue truly has everything you need, and our guests loved the beautiful, spacious grounds.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place. Absolutely stunning venue and an amazing team!
Venue 5/5
Service 1/5
Logistics 1/5
We got married here recently, and the venue is stunning. We got a lot of compliments. Nice bridal suite, beautiful natural elements, and a very spacious reception area with a nice setup. We paid for setup and takedown, and the staff used our decorations along with theirs very nicely, with little guidance needed. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end.
Initially, communication with the Anna, the venue owner, was quick and helpful, and she seemed nice. I had read the contract through several times and thought I knew what to expect. However, there were a lot of surprises, both in behaviour and in ridiculously implemented rules on the wedding day.
The owner demanded that the caterer remove all wine glasses from tables by 6pm, when speeches were at 6:30. She insisted the catering staff go around and pour out the wine from the glasses to wash them. The caterer didn’t want to be rude, so my maid of honour went around pouring the guests’ wine into disposable cups. This rule was never previously discussed, and dishes were being washed by our caterer, so it should’ve been between the caterer and I. The caterer said they only ever have problems with this venue and will likely be black-listing it as they don’t deal with these complications elsewhere, just here.
It’s in the contract that we have until 1:30am to leave the premises on the night of the wedding. The guests had left by 12:30am, and while the wedding party was cleaning up, the electricity started being shut off by 1am, pushing us out. For the rehearsal night, we had to be off the property by 9pm, and they sent a dog out while a wedding party member was having a smoke before leaving, which felt unnecessary.
While we were getting ready in the bridal suite, it was ridiculously cold, so we messaged the owner requesting the remote for the heater. Instead, she came in without a word, started the heater at an extremely high temperature, then left with the remote. After a while, we asked if she could leave it, as it was now too hot and we weren’t allowed to prop doors open. She came in, turned the heater off, and left again with the remote and without a word to us, but said something to our hairdresser as she knows her. No explanation, no politeness.
The grass was cut the morning of the wedding, leading to obvious grass stains on my dress.
We paid for giant Jenga, which ended up unused as staff put the tote out but didn’t tell anyone where it was.
The owner came to the bridal suite and hung around at the reception not for any purpose other than to do what felt like babysit. When my maid of honour asked if she needed anything to check whether she was just watching, Anna said she didn’t need anything. Her presence had no purpose other than to make sure everyone… behaved, I guess? She stood in open spaces with a cold demeanour to the point that everyone was asking what she was doing.
The morning after, we were told we had until 9am, then 11am, to remove our wedding supplies. The wedding party was there for 8am, where everything was already placed outside, which really drives home that the venue wanted us out. They never said anything about removing our property for us, and we were there well before exit time. They pulled something all three days we were there, not being hospitable in the slightest.
To recap: beautiful venue, extremely poor, pushy service. They don’t seem like they enjoy the work, just that they’re in it for the money, which is a red flag when it comes to weddings. It’s one of the biggest days in a couple’s life, and people want vendors who are happy to provide their service. A friend of mine has been to several weddings here, and only one out of about five brides had a positive experience with the staff.
If you’re considering this venue, go with your eyes open. The space is beautiful, but the management’s attitude and restrictive rules made what should have been a relaxing, joyful weekend unnecessarily stressful. We had an extremely happy day, despite the venue, but let this be a warning to those looking.
