I’m sure you can already tell who is writing this.
From the moment I first put on that purple necker, I knew I’d found somewhere I belonged. A place where chaos was encouraged, laughter was loud, and memories were made in the muddiest, wildest ways possible.
To the scouters—thank you for never giving up on us, even when we were running circles around you (literally and figuratively). Your dedication and kindness shaped more than just our badges; it shaped us.
I was lucky enough to lead for a while. To help plan camps, to be the voice in the room, to see others grow with pride in my chest. But as all stories go, chapters close, even when we don’t feel ready.
Sometimes, I still catch myself thinking of the next event, the next camp with my old friends, the next four swords related zelda fan fiction for my small friend group I used to have… before remembering I’m not there anymore. And it hurts more than I thought it would.
Still, I’ll always be cheering from the sidelines. Because Scouts wasn’t just a group. It was a home.
Five stars doesn’t do it justice.
Awesome local hall that helps the community hold events at reasonable prices!
Beautiful setting but located alongside a very busy road the vehicles travel quickly on. It’s mosquito season right now and due to the slow moving slough they are plentiful! Looks like a great place to kayak, I’ll be retuning when the skeeters are less active. There are many sitting areas and if your not concerned about the road it’s a great place. Bring the bike, boat, or flip flops… it’s a flexible space.
A nice, simple spot to celebrate parties, fit up to 100 people, decent washrooms and kitchen.
Big enough parking lot and backyard or playground.
Great little place for events and a beautiful spot to sit and rest on your walk. During the summer I suggest bug spray. But that’s normal on this country around water.
