A good venue for a small town. Very accessible for disabilities. Very good kitchen.

It’s a public hall. But surely they could do better. My biggest “negative” is from a public “singing” event perspective. And they pretty much all stem from the men’s washroom..
#1. The hand dryer blowers in the washroom, plus other fans, both give the kind of hum in the main room that can drive a sound man nuts, because it sounds like a low feed back loop starting. Can really mess with the soundman if he’s not aware where that’s coming from. So an acoustics problem.
#2. The men’s washroom has the mirror placed just perfectly so when the door is open anyone by the door on the outside can look in the mirror and see all the men doing their business behind the wall… Seems like a really poor design choice.
#3. Small thing, but I don’t like the water taps in the men’s washroom. Micro sized holes that are just barely bigger than misting size and then with such pressure it feels like it’ll cut your skin. Very uncomfortable.
#4. Baby changing table in the ladies washroom is right in front of the door. If the door opens, everyone in the area outside the washroom has full view of the changing table and its contents. I know mothers who will rather change their babies on the sink because of this. Another really poor design choice.
#5 Poor lighting. Could be really improved.

Positives… Large kitchen, decently large space, can seat around 600 chairs. Not a bad hall. Could just use some improvements. Overall probably better then many community halls are.
