Pretty disappointed that my community centre would cancel a hall rental for something as important as a referendum vote! This event had it been held would’ve attracted many people to our neighbourhood and perhaps even gotten more hall revenue in the future and park exposure to the newly renovated playground! It upsets me that our hall would cancel such an event due to the struggles that Albertans have endured!! This should’ve been voted on by the residents of Balwin not just a few members of the hall.

Sad to see you have canceled something as important as a signing for referendum. Your decision to do such a thing will not be forgotten.

Balwin community centre is great for a lot of events, weddings, birthday, baptism, engagement, wedding anniversary, for whatever event you need it, it’s has a decent space with full kitchen and bathroom as well, I definitely recommend it for your event.

Went skating there this year for the first time in a long time, I was really looking forward to it, the couple running the rink are great, they do an exceptional job, here is where is goes down hill. The president of the league was there and he is rude and very disrespectful, he was pushing us to wear helmets on grown adults, I get kids under 18 but not adults, no other rink in the city does this.
He has 2 old helmets to give people that look like they are 30 years old and very dirty, if you are going to supply helmets they need to be cleaned!!!! It is definitely time for a new leader for this community, this one is way to miserable and DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!!!!
