I have been going to this location for many events in my life… Recent I have photographed a wedding here ( Kathleen’s Diamond Photography )… It is a nice older location… Not much photography wise outdoors without getting something in the background… I highly recommended going to a park for photos…
I wish I can do this survey with negative score. I had an extremely disappointing experience renting this place for my staff X’mas party. You can not reach them on phone and they they long long time to reply to emails. No one came for viewing before the event even after a few requests. They didn’t inform us about the access code that was time sensitive. The hall doesn’t have even basic cleaning stuff like broom and mop. They blamed us for going to check what we need to bring as they didn’t gave us walk through. Absolutely dishonest people. They blame us for breaking cabinets that we even didn’t touch. Didn’t return our deposit of $400+ for this reason and having a few chairs and table at wrong place, small pieces of tape left there . I will not recommend this place to any one.
Nice old historic hall, not much of old Balzac left.
I attended Balzac Community Hall for an event and had a nice time. The wheelchair acveciblity is good but if you have a scooter do not use it on the ramp as the bottom turn will be too tight. The washroom was good though is in a space with other stalls and did not close sufficiently to accommodate a large chair and attendant but we asked someone to clear the room until I was done. People were so kind and friendly; I had a lovely day and would go again. I still felt safe and had a great outing!
Great place for a mix of entertainment/events. The stage and dance area is separated from the carpeted dining area, which is a downside to me, but both “sections” are functional. Nice bar and kitchen area and clean bathrooms. No WiFi for those who may expect or need it.
