We were staying at Elkton Valley Campground (great campground for kids) and came out for the farmers market (Saturdays 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
Lots of local vendors with great food. Most of the sellers will accept e-transfer or have square (debit/credit).
Surprisingly good park for the kids when taking into consideration how small the place is.
Saturday Farmers Market is great. Live music, many different tables, yummy farm to home foods and preserves.
Went to a farmer’s market on Saturday July 6 2024. Was met by the rudest woman who told us we can’t enter the market. We were carrying our dog. Before we could ask if there were options (such as waite in the outside boundary while one of us shopped) she asked us to leave. FYI..there was another dog sitting under a table…we love supporting local and it was our first time in Bergen. Unfortunately the experience soured us. We would have had no problem keeping her on the outskirts but the woman was so rude about it…sorry to say we won’t be back
Went to Bergen Hall on Sunday for my friends sons birthday party. The kids had a BLAST. The hall was perfect for nerf wars and Lunch and they also had a great park out front and a nice space to have a fire etc.
I would recommend this for any family events you would rather not host at home.
The only reason this gets 2 stars is because the place is beautiful. The hall mamager seemed nice enough when we chose the place. However, if you want to rent a hall where nothing that you agree on is done then rent here. She tried to over charge on camping, the lawn was supposed to be mowed prior to our arrival but instead we had to deal with people mowing in between our campsites, the catering was supposed to be invoiced but on the night of the wedding she rudely told us we had 20 minutes to pay it. She was nothing but rude and unprepared the whole weekend. If you want to get married out west, skip the headache and find another venue.
