Hello! Just wanted to share a bit about Chalmers Community Centre. The manager there is honestly one of the nicest people you could meet. Him and all the workers put in so much effort and are always respectful to everyone. Out of all the community centres in Winnipeg, Chalmers is definitely my favorite. There’s also a new worker, I forgot his name, but he’s a really nice guy, works hard, and treats everyone with a lot of respect.

We went here for a family get together and we thought we had a large family. It’s a good thing that this community center has more than one room to rent out. There was another family or multiple families that were showing up and the parking lot was packed. Although the parking lot is large it is just long. It is not really close to the door. When you park you have to park almost half a kilometer away before you could get to the door
Other than that, the staff seem friendly and courteous and we had a good time

The new canteen for Friday bingo is awful. Horrible food, high prices. Not sure why the “original” canteen was converted over to this service as it was good, but we won’t be buying again from this new business. Coffee is so strong, couldn’t drink it. Chicken strips are hard, over cooked. Did not enjoy the fries with the seasoning. This club serves many seniors and my mom is one. She’s not happy that she’ll have to bring everything from home instead from now on.

I go to bingo on Fridays and the workers in the hall are great !! Food was great as well …until new owners took over … ordered a poutine had grated cheese on it and a huge amount of I’m assuming seasoned salt did not know it was on there till I added a lil bit of reg salt after I tasted it I had no choice to throw it away as it was extremely salty waste of $7 bucks .. following week thought I would try the “bingo burger n fries for $10 plus a $1 for gravy to see if they were better I did not add salt this time just to see , it was still very salty,, burger was not a hit was very soggy and under cooked…tossed them out , next day I felt sick to my stomach … will no longer be ordering from them again 🤢 by the way the bottled water was a hit 😁

Nice to have a place to take the kids skating outdoors, the rink was nice and smooth and they had a great time on the open ice, thanks for maintaining this for the community!
