I’ve booked this hall multiple times, no issues. Today however is the last time I’ll ever book this hall. I booked back in October, fully paid and contract in hand. I arrived the day of the venue booking which the door was supposed to be unlocked for 11am. I had the hall 11-5pm and I was not able to get in the hall until 11:40pm with an event starting at 12pm. Upon arrival the parking lot was full of snow, and not cleared for guests to arrive and park their vehicles. Once I was finally let in the hall after calling the contact to ask why the door was not unlocked at 11:10am I still was unable to get in until 11:40am by the time the hall was unlocked. I had 20 minutes to set up for a baby shower.

I was not very happy upon arrival and entering the hall to see how absolutely disgusting it was inside. The floors were filthy, not swept or mopped. The kitchen was a disaster with a sink full of water with a drain stop that couldn’t be removed and was stuck. The worst part is I had guests arriving in 20 minutes and still had to decorate and did not have time to sweep and mop the entire space. Every time we have rented this hall we have cleaned it incredibly spotless, and the hall was left for us a complete disgusting mess. The floor alone was embarrassing and really stood out during our function.

Not only that but the garbage we collected we were unable to throw out in the garbage can out back because it was locked for the bags to go into. We were left very disappointed with the state of the hall, and being let in late. It definitely ruined the event, and it was just filthy the way it was left. I really hope the follow up on the hall and contracts are being followed so this does not happen to the next person. I was hosting a baby shower and had 40 guests coming and the state of the hall was absolutely terrible the way it was left. I will never book this hall again, I will look elsewhere going forward. Absolutely unacceptable. The worst part is I called to confirm the timing of the hall being opened for 11am hence why I booked 11-5pm to get in early to decorate, and was told that the kitchen door would be left open and the hall would be accessible to access for 11am. So the fact that this was booked months ago and I followed up a few days before the date just to confirm for certain and still I was let in almost an hour late with 20 minutes left before the guests were to arrive left me stunned. Never again. Very unreliable, and the state of the hall is not cared for.

It was so hot and the hall didn’t have air-conditioning or fans. Half the windows didn’t stay open.
