We had such a wonderful experience here. Place is beautiful and well taken care of. Vicki is a great host!! Will go back there in future for more family events.

Today June 11th 2022 the hall had a Family Fun Day! Everyone was welcome! Face painting, bouncy castle, dunk tank, live music, branding iron station and a barbecue with all the fixings! This Beautiful old Log Hall is awesome for family gatherings, wedding receptions and all sorts of things in between.
It is definitely a must see and definitely a beautiful piece of History!

Great venue out in the country, by Horsecreek Road. Thoroughly enjoyed the winter land with great outdoors and the scenery. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a cozy country side meeting,weeding or family gatherings.

We celebrated a dual birthday party here. I loved this Log hall. It was charming, and had enough parking for my guests.

The hall manager was very easy to communicate with.

The hall was absolutely what we were expecting, with a newly renovated kitchen. Wonderful tables and chairs were available to use.

We were originally going to camp here, but were told that it was re-seeded, and didn’t want us driving on the grass. I will assume that by next year, this won’t be an issue.

Unfortunately the bathroom is downstairs, and no elevator, so if you have any wheel chairs, be aware of this.

We would absolutely book this hall again!

I booked Dartique Hall for my husband’s 50th birthday party on June 8th.

We were planning on having some family and friends come from out of town. We were expecting to have some trailers and tents parked in the backyard.
The hall was booked, everything was confirmed, we were good to go.
The day of the party everything was going great, then some man came over while we were setting up. He told us that someone was coming to take the firepit and build a new one. We told him he should speak to the people that we booked the hall with because we are using that space and don’t want workers there while we are having the party. He got upset, snapped at us, and stormed out.
Shortly after the party started, the same man returned. This time he walked in, walked straight up to my husband and I and said “who drives the white Jeep?”, I was taken aback and asked him why. He informed us that the person needed to move their vehicle because we are not supposed to be in the backyard. I told him that we had some trailers and tents that were coming and we rented the space and that set him off.

Apparently he just placed grass seed on the entire backyard and we were not permitted to go out there. I informed him that I had an agreement with the people that rent the hall and he immediately started challenging me so I told him to contact the people that run the place and again he stormed out, this time slamming the door.

By this time about half my guests were there, the ones from out of town were just showing up or on their way. This little display caused a huge reaction among my guests. The people that were already there (one was just coming to ask me how to get in the back so they can start setting up) heard the entire exchange and no one wanted to spend the night or go in the backyard.

This resulted in my calling my family and friends that were on their way and letting them know that this exchange happened and that there might be an issue if they come and set up. I didn’t want people coming all the way here, spending the time setting up, to have this man come back and make everyone uncomfortable all over again. I was not informed of this issue prior to the man coming and was confused on how to proceed seeing as everyone was already on their way or already there.

I figured if my friends knew the situation then they wouldn’t be blindsided if he came back. Of course, they all decided that they will not be spending the night. This caused many people to have to turn around and go home and a few of my guests had to get hotel rooms.

I have no idea how this event turned into such a nightmare.

The lady (Barb) that responded to my email had absolutely no empathy and provided no apology for the behavior I received from one of their volunteers.
I will never book this venue ever again nor will I ever recommend this venue to someone else.
It’s just a good thing it was a birthday party and not a wedding. This could have really ruined someone’s big day.
Please seriously reconsider before booking this venue.
