I highly recommend this place! My husband and I have visited four times, three of which were to enjoy the stunning sunsets and watch the geese.
The park is beautifully organized and impeccably clean, making it a wonderful spot to connect with nature. The volunteers are amazing!
Now that we have a membership, we plan to spend our Saturdays there. The only downside is the early closing time during the week, which makes it difficult for us to visit after work. Nonetheless, we’re excited to enjoy our Saturdays there!
I went to the sunset goose flight at Fort Whyte Alive. There was an indoor presentation that was very informative about geese migration. Beautiful trails throughout the marshland also!! Plus a restaurant and very nice gift shop inside. Worth a visit!👏🏻👏🏻
Visited here in the winter to try out snowshoeing. We rented from them and also brought our own snowshoes. It was fun going on their trails and on the frozen-over ponds and lakes. We even encountered a couple of deer in their forest trail. After snowshoeing we spent time on theit toboggan run. They have large toboggans on-site and these are free to use once you are already in the park. Of course, it’s always nice seeing the bison enclosure. They also have a shop, cafe and a small museum.
Wonderful wild space for plants and animals! There are bison bison bison. There are many birds. There are even more mosquitoes. You can rent bicycles and binoculars. It’s a good time!
Awesome trails and lots of greenery. Good place for watching goose, ducks and other animals and a lot of history. Bison viewing is available. Great place to spend weekends and watch sunset. the museum has a lot of taxidermy stuff of owls, bears, bison, deer, cougar, foxes and so on.
Entry tickets for two is about $21 dollars if you are not a member. It is worth it.
This 640-acre urban green space offers wildlife, lakes, a cafe, a shop, a nature center & more.
