We headed to Franca’s for my fiancées birthday dinner celebration. The food was good. It reminded us of our trip to Italy we took a month ago.

We have found our new favourite local restaurant! What a beautiful and welcoming restaurant with the most DELICIOUS & fresh Italian food. The staff all made us feel like family; it felt like home. Our waitress was the absolute BEST ❤️. Franca, the owner and namesake, came to our table and introduced herself to us.

I recommend the burrata – it was to die for and a house specialty! We shared the pollo parmigiana and it was everything I could have dreamed of. To finish we each ordered our own dessert with a cappuccino (you MUST get one, it was divine!).

Franca surprised us with an after dinner treat – I won’t ruin the surprise, but you should sip it not shoot it (like my husband did, LOL!)
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough- it is a must try in Calgary!

AMAZING! This is such a beautiful, quaint restaurant. They had the owner playing the piano and sang a beautiful happy birthday to one of the customers. He also greeted us and talked with us before we left as well as walking around and checking on the tables. It was such a nice environment with relaxing music and dim lighting so stunning. The service was amazing and made you feel like family the second you walked in. I ordered the gnocchi rose which was so flavourful and delicious. I would highly recommend and will for sure be returning.

We had an excellent night out dining at Franca’s for the first time. Franca was even kind enough to visit our table multiple times throughout the night, and adjust our Burrata dish to suit 3 of us.

We had the burrata, balsamic chicken, gnocchi, and mushroom pasta (can’t remember the exact noodle). Everything was delicious, but we did think the rose sauce could have been a little more rich/flavorful.

Look forward to bringing others to dine at Franca’s again. Don’t skip the desserts!
