This venue has reportedly been under construction for approximately two years. We paid a deposit last year, but the owner has since stated that he has run out of funds, and the promised construction has not progressed.
The pavilion and bathroom facilities were supposed to be completed earlier this year; however, no work has begun. Communication from Greg has been extremely limited. Despite multiple assurances that our deposit would be refunded through a repayment plan, no repayment has occurred. We are aware of at least one other couple who were promised a similar plan and received only $1,000 of a $5,000 deposit.
We have spoken directly with another couple who experienced the same situation and were also ignored. They were notified only 30 days before their wedding that the venue would not be ready, forcing them to secure a last-minute replacement.
Our current venue has also confirmed working with two additional couples who relocated after this venue failed to complete construction on time.
Greg has cited multiple personal circumstances, including medical issues and two major car accidents. However, he has provided inconsistent timelines regarding these events to different parties. As a result, there are no clear or reliable updates on construction. Although he claims to have hired contractors, he has not provided a start date, company names, or any documentation to support this.
Based on our experience and those of multiple other couples, we strongly advise exercising extreme caution before booking this venue.
My son booked his wedding at Grand Paradise Estate with Greg/Aber Loewen and paid $2,500 deposit + $2,500 damage deposit. What followed was nothing but dishonesty and broken promises.
We were assured a pavilion would be built before his September 2025 wedding. Now, others are being told it won’t be completed until 2026 if at all. Friends who booked also cancelled after realizing they were being misled.
Since taking the money, Greg Loewen has ignored countless calls and messages. He only reached out when negative Google reviews appeared, demanding they be taken down at 7am. Those reviews have now mysteriously vanished, leaving other couples unaware of what’s really happening.
This has caused tremendous stress and heartache for our family during what should have been one of the happiest times of our lives. Please, do not trust this business with your wedding or your money.
We had to give 5 stars in order for our review to be posted. The other ones got taken down!
We had high hopes for this venue, but it ended up causing us nothing but stress and sleepless nights. Greg (or whatever his name is) made big promises and has delivered on nothing. Initially, he claimed that a medical issue was the cause of delays in construction, but after a quick Google search—and based on what Greg has told us—it seems unlikely. The latest explanation involves car accidents causing further delays, but it wouldn’t take much effort to pick up the phone and hire a contractor that he supposedly already had lined up prior to these incidents.
Greg has promised completed construction to several couples and has given us all different stories about when things will be finished. Communication has been very slow—if he responds at all. I talked to him earlier this week, and he was supposed to refund part of what we paid yesterday and set up a payment plan for the rest, but the only thing I received was a text today asking if I was available and then noting.
Whatever you do, do not consider this place for your wedding.
We booked with Greg with the promise of a pavillion by our wedding date. Among many other things, he made false promises, and failed to provide the promised services. We had to change venues a month out, and still have not recieved our damage deposit back. DO NOT BOOK BRIDES!!!! Speaking from experience, please save yourself the trouble.
Our experience with this venue has been nothing but disappointing. Communication with Greg has been extremely poor, with multiple promises not followed through on. The pavilion has not been built, and as of August 2025, no progress has been made. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise against booking or paying a deposit with this venue.
