My partner and I spent 3 nights in one of the quaint little cabins with Green Island and have to say it was the perfect location. Quiet, private and super affordable. The hostess was very friendly and the proximity to Cavendish was hard to beat. Highly recommend Green Island Getaways for you next summer trip to PEI!.

As a wedding photographer on PEI I’ve seen many venues and Green Isle I’ve been to a few years ago, and now again just this past Saturday. I have to say that this is one of the best managed, customer service oriented venues on the Island. The manager of the venue was incredible, and speaking to the parents of the bride/groom as well as the bridal party themselves (all 14 of them), they were all blown away. Every concern was taken care of, and she was so accommodating. It was one of the best meals I’ve had at a wedding in a long time as they’ve hired a full time chef to do the catering on site. They have accommodations for the ENTIRE wedding party on site and separately (a house on one side, and a recently renovated basement apartment type of idea under the barn which was AWESOME for the guys, I ended up taking a number of photos in there since it was so cool). As long as everyone at the wedding knows that during the day of the wedding, you cannot take liquor on the property of the barn only (you can bring your own drinks and have them literally next door in a big open field which is on the house property), then everything runs smooth and there are zero problems. There are also two beautiful cottages which the parents of the bride/groom or anyone really can stay in on site as well, I think the bride/groom stayed in one of them their wedding night which is great to get away from everyone. As far as wedding guests go, the manager WILL EVEN DRIVE THEM TO THEIR HOTELS AROUND THE AREA for $5 or something like that.. She was incredible and any bad reviews out there are likely due to people not understanding they couldn’t take their own booze in the barn or something like that. Hit me up on Facebook if you wanted to hear more about it.. I’m in zero way associated with Green Isle, but it has rocketed up my list of favorite venues after what I witnessed last weekend. Check it out for sure.

Went for there for a family wedding and while most of the serving staff and bartender were wonderful the Manager or wedding coordinator of the place was absolutely rude to the guests. I understand that she can be wonderful for the wedding party but I wouldn’t recommend having a wedding here if she continues to be so rude to the guests. Also they turned the air conditioning off during the dance portion of the reception and unfortunately the bartender and serving staff didn’t have access to the remotes so it ended up being unbearably hot. I am glad that my family member who was getting married had a good experience I just wish that this one person (manager or wedding coordinator) didn’t spoil what is supposed to be a happy event for everyone else.

We booked a tent months in advance with the manager and received a confirmation email that we would be in Tent #2. We did find it odd that she didn’t take a credit card number at the time of the booking.(now it all makes sense though). We called about 6 times and emailed just as many with no answer from her. We showed up to the property, she was no where to be found. Kitchen staff said she wasn’t on site today and to just drop our stuff in the tent and they’d try and get ahold of her. A few hours later she called us and told us to come back and remove our things from the tent because she is giving it to someone else. She also said she didn’t care if she gets bad reviews because the business is being sold and it won’t be her problem. So Buyer Beware. She has no problem running the name into the ground. And be skeptical if she doesn’t ask for a credit card. She does it on purpose so she can kick you out if need be.
