I can certainly appreciate the acts that have been brought in to Holy Heart over the years. I had very good times during certain events – mainly the Stampeders, Kenny Versus Spenny, Steve-O, and Tommy Emmanuel; however, the theatre is very dated, and there are other places that would likely be better suited to hosting such shows here in the city.

The layout when entering the theatre is crowded and slow to progress when checking tickets for entry. Once inside, it becomes a little bit more spacious as there is some more room to move about. There’s no real system for getting people in and out of the theatre though, which can be bothersome. I find sometimes even the ushers can be in the way.

The balcony is a good spot to watch from if you are closer to the front of it, but further back places you up unnaturally high for a theatre. The main floor is also a good option, but once again, can be crowded upon exit as everyone rushes for either of the two doors.

The lack of options for drinks and/or food is also disappointing. Only water is allowed in, and it seems like a lot of wasted potential for extra sales that can go towards maintaining the school/theatre. The washrooms are also unkept, which adds to the theatre itself being an undesirable place to spend any amount of time in.

If there is an act that you wish to see, but your only option to see them is the Holy Heart Theatre, then go. It’s unfortunate that it hasn’t improved over the years, but just don’t expect an overly clean or high end experience and you won’t be disappointed.

Very nice theatre. Good acoustics. Gets very warm once everyone is seated. Only water allowed inside, so remember to bring change for machines (2.50), or better still bring your own. Parking is a challenge. Get to the show very early or prepare to park very far away. I recommend getting dropped off.

Fantastic venue, comfortable, clean, great place to enjoy stage performances of all kinds.
Who Made Who put on a terrific performance I’d have enjoyed anywhere, but Holy Heart Theatre was the perfect place to rock out to the best AC/DC tribute band out there.
Also, thank you Holy Heart Theatre for my son’s first-ever rock concert. Think he may be hooked. We’ll be back.

Beautiful venue with lots of leg room between the rows. Roomy seats! The staff were also super friendly and helpful when scanning tickets and helping us to our seats.
