A hidden gem with a beautiful and a quiet setting. We had an amazing experience at The Lady Smith Manor! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. Mariam made the whole experience smooth, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout the entire Girl’s Weekend. The customer service was top-notch, and we’ll definitely be returning! If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing and wonderful experience, look no further than the Lady Smith Manor & The Whippet Pub.

This is a great and quaint venue for weddings and receptions. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pub has some solid nostalgic Britain theme. Friendly staff and good accommodations for small groups. Outdoors features a relaxing garden and dining area. Lots of vintage and antique decor throughout. Highly recommended.

I have been to Lady Smith Manor’s Secret Garden Summer Market (2023) and their Narnia-themed Winter Market (2024) and enjoyed both. As a manager of a bookstore and book reviewer, the use of literary themes is what initially attracted me to these events. The thought and research that are put into these markets is what keeps me coming back. The addition of the Thirsty Whippet is what encourages my husband to tag along.
This past weekend, we attended our first tea. It was not just any tea, but a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. From the picking of my cup to the menu selection and all the little details, it was well worth the almost 2.5-hour drive to Dorchester. The warm scones, with strawberry jam and cream, were luscious. The Queen of Hearts jam tarts and the “eat me” Guinness chocolate cupcakes were mouth-watering. Everything was so well thought out, right down to the smallest details. These included the “drink me” tags on the tea cups, the cards on the tables, and the little flamingos included on the table’s centerpieces for the croquet mallets in Alice in Wonderland. The display in the entryway was picture-perfect and included many more details from the story, including the white roses that were painted red by the Queen of Hearts’ guards.
I am looking forward to attending many more future events at the Manor, and I hope to bring others. I even plan to attend one of the Manor’s silent book clubs, despite having to take a day off work to attend.

We visited about a year ago, and as the memories pop up on my phone, I keep thinking about what an amazing experience it was. Honestly, this is one of my favourite places in New Brunswick. I’ve been to two of the summer markets—both were so beautiful—and I was lucky enough to stay in the manor after winning a giveaway for the Thirsty Whippet opening (I’ve never won anything, so that made it extra exciting!).

The whole place is just so thoughtfully put together. Every little detail—from the decor to the atmosphere—feels intentional and special. It seriously feels like a little slice of Europe tucked away in Atlantic Canada. I always tell people it’s secretly my dream home.

Miriam is so sweet, and her design sense is unreal. Thank you so much to both Miriam and Stephen for being such kind and welcoming hosts. I really hope I get the chance to visit again soon!
