We had the pleasure of spending a special evening in the Mount Evan Cabin at Rover Retreat Kan. From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel the relaxed warmth and inviting ambiance.

The cozy feel of the cabin, along with the incredible comfort of the bed, fostered a full night’s restful sleep.

Todd and Jax are not only welcoming and warm people to meet, but they also take great pride in their home — and in ensuring your comfort throughout your stay.

The surroundings and scenery are breathtaking, and the night sky is absolutely mesmerizing — enveloping you in its beauty. A truly delightful experience any time of year. Don’t forget your camera!

A truly magical getaway. Jaxy and Todd have created a beautifully relaxing space with thoughtful details throughout. The locally sourced meals prepared by Jaxy were outstanding. It feels like a hidden gem right in our own backyard—easy to access and wonderfully peaceful. A treat in any season.

Such warm and welcoming hosts in Todd and Jaxy! It felt like home – so cozy and so beautifully decorated. Breathtaking views all around. Well appointed rooms. Walking by the river is so peaceful and beautiful. We highly recommend and we will be back. Our family was there to celebrate our 50th Anniversary and Todd and Jaxy made it so special. So whether you are on our own, or a group, this place is not to be missed.

River Retreat is truly a gem. The location is beautiful, the atmosphere peaceful, and every detail feels intentional. Nothing here is accidental. We arrived stressed and somehow left feeling like different people.

What really makes this place special, though, is the owners. Their warmth and care create the kind of environment you don’t forget. If you’re looking for a place to breathe again, recharge, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is it. We will absolutely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at River Retreat Kananaskis over the weekend. We stayed in one of the cottage. The view from this cottage of the river and mountains is stunning – soul food. The hosts, Jaxy and Todd, were friendly and helpful. The cottage was small but cozy, comfortable, functional, well decorated and cared for. It is a lovely place.
