Horrible service from staff. Rude, inept, not knowing how to mix drinks, food is mediocre at its best and takes a long time to serve when it comes, server forgets to bring cutlery. Staff change over is huge. No management staff; the outdated elected board members think they know how to do it all.
Went there with Baby Boomer group of 25+ people for a dance recently and had horrible service, Legion charged $12.00 cover charge for a band that was not in tune. The highest cover charge in the city. Attended jam sessions last year for $5.00 which were fairly good and packed but staff provided consistently bad service and board members cancelled the Jams. It’s too bad as location is good and some entertainment is good.
They need to hire a good general manager to run the place like they had a few years ago. Back then things were always hopping and happening at the Legion. We wonder why Legions are in financial trouble…could it be because the boards have no idea how to run a club!!
Our group meets here monthly. Service and food has always been top-notch. Highly recommend.
A great legion. Pool tables, darts, shuffle cards and a great little restaurant. They also have a small museum at this Legion and always lots to do.
I can’t think of a better place to throw some darts, drink some beers and have a few nibbles then the Legion. I never feel bad spending a little extra on some draw tickets knowing we are supporting the veterans. Thanks for having us.
Are you kidding me, 17:00 on Tuesday and I stop in for a beer. No happy hour special beer or food prices. The place is virtually empty, maybe 10 people, but 5 people working. It may prove to be a little financially prudent to get people in the door with some specials or at least generate some revenue to cover staff costs. Try running it like a business you are in competition every other pub, restaurant and bar in the area.
