What a gorgeous space! The owner and his family have truly poured their love into the castle to make it truly unique! Thank you for having me photograph the space with the newlyweds and thank you for being hands on to ensure everything is well presented for the photographs, I appreciate it!

What an amazing place!!! Pictures do not even begin to explain what feelings do you get through the moment you drive up to the castle, tour it’s unbelievable inside, spend time socializing and taking it in and to the moment you have to leave. Hosts are fantastic, experience is unmatched and the set up is unbelievable. You have to go and see it.

My husband, Sean, and I had the great pleasure of celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary at Ryan’s Castle! We actually live nearby, so this was a staycation for us. It was nice to get a taste of Europe without the hassle of flying and making pet-care arrangements, etc.

We were blown away the instant we walked into our private castle. Truly a feast for the eyes! The heated granite flooring was so welcoming after stepping in from the cold outdoors. We slowly made our way past the impressive fireplace, fully stocked bar, elegant dining area, cozy lounge, and through the magnificent chapel into the luxurious bedroom suite. We knew we were in for a pampered experience when we spotted the box of quality chocolates placed next to the pillows. Another unexpected extra was the cappuccinos. Best I’ve ever had!

Ed (aka Charles or Ryan) is a phenomenal host and all-around great guy! There was an abundance of food and beverage selections, with absolutely no additional charges. Whatever we were in the mood for, at whatever time we preferred it, Ed graciously accommodated us. He even adjusted the temperature of the usually warm pool to my husband’s cooler preference. (I’m sure that request was a first for him. lol).

We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting the lady of the house, but I was very impressed by her exquisite design and décor. Barb clearly knows what she’s doing and it’s evident she does her research. She and her husband’s execution is both realistic and luxurious. We truly experienced what it was to live as a king and queen for a day. Yes, royalty actually had a private chapel and dining area directly off their bedroom!

My favourite part of the castle was the bathroom. The stained-glass arched doors leading to the raised clawfoot tub took my breath away! I escaped to another time and place as I soaked in the Epsom salts by candlelight, while listening to my classical playlist.

Speaking of music, we really liked the jazz that was playing while we enjoyed our poolside meals . And what an amazing breakfast! Still dreaming of those delicious fresh-fruit filled pancakes.

We would have preferred a high-tea lunch, as advertised, but can’t complain as we lacked for nothing! While the candlelight dinner was romantic and the service was superb, the meal is not what we imagined. The stuffed salmon was tasty and cooked to perfection, but it was familiar to us. We’ve purchased the same prepared salmon many times. We were looking forward to experiencing a unique flavour. Some of the lunch items and dressings were also familiar to us. It seems their chef was, understandably, unavailable on the short notice we gave. It was very nice of them to accommodate us with only a day’s notice!

As is evident from my many positive comments and five star rating, the experience was, ultimately, excellent!

Our sincerest thanks, Barb & Ed, for receiving us as guests, and making our anniversary so special and memorable. We’ve already recommended your castle to several of our friends, and they look forward to the experience of being King & Queen for a day!

My husband surprised me for my birthday and I’m still in awe! If you want to go back in time and be treated like royalty, this is the place to go! Loved it here! Charles and Barb were so kind and graciously took pictures of us. Magical, mystical and magnificent!
