Gorgeous location. Was there for Avalon Expo twice, and staff are very attentive and enthusiastic for the event. Positive experience all around.

Participated in a recent conference here. The layout of the building is tight, restricting movement and preventing wide open spaces from even existing. Techs running presentations were complaining about the main hall being an echo chamber, leading to subdued volume levels for the first full day of the conference.

The conference centre was sufficiently clean, but the entire building was not maintained through the conference. A stench was present for the entire conference at one of the key connection points to the host hotel, so you got to get a whiff of it a number of times through the duration.

Catering was underwhelming. The majority of meals were handheld, extras were sparse, and the only plated meal of significance was the final one of the conference. If you can get better food several steps from the conference hall, you need to do a better job.

Overall the conference was a good experience. However, the drawbacks of the building were apparent. I hope future conferences have this in mind.
