Hosted our wedding weekend at this venue. It was a beautiful space! We received so many compliments about how original and unique it was. But on the other hand there were some hiccups that I wish I would have known beforehand.
– if you’re having an event on a day above 20 degrees, it is a scorcher inside the solarium. I felt like I was melting in my dress and guests were uncomfortable
– it was also quite the hassle to rent everything and set up/take down all in one weekend. Very stressful instead of easy going like I’d prefer
But in all honesty, it’s a very special location and did the job well.

What a great venue! Great main building and reception area. My daughter got married out back and it was beautiful! Keep attendees under 100 or get a tent for the outside. Great place for wedding party to stay the night before and the night of and get ready if needed. Would’ve been nice if the tent patio butted up to the main building but that’s minor. Real all in 1 venue!

Had our wedding here this fall! Literally the perfect place for a wedding. So many different spaces to use: the guest rooms, bridal suite, main hall & bar area, atrium, multiple patios, huge green space in the back… all the spaces flowed together beautifully. The guest rooms/bridal suite were amazing – made getting ready in the morning a breeze, and allowed for a safe space in the evening to rest after the day!

It was hot and windy on our wedding day. We had our reception in the atrium starting about 6pm. The portable AC unit in the atrium helped to regulate the temperature, and although it was warm in there, it was to be expected and bearable. We were able to open all the doors to get a breeze going after supper.

There are little ramps throughout the venue inside and outside to allow for accessibility which was appreciated by our guests.

Cabs/taxis come out here so it made transportation to/from the venue easy on us and our guests.

Everything at The Station is so well thought out and beautiful. Would recommend x1000. Can’t say enough great things about this place!

Attended a wedding here that was supposed to be adequately heated for the winter season for them to hold their wedding there. When the bride & groom arrived the day before they found that the solarium was 0 degrees. They then had to rent a huge heater to try to make their guests comfortable which was of course an extra cost to them. The coolers in the kitchen were also not working (literally blowing hot air). When brought to their attention they said “yeah, they stopped working a few days ago-sorry.” It would have been nice if they told the couple beforehand so they could have prepared for a lack of fridge/cooler space that they had planned to use. We were also told that the communication between the couple and management was difficult. Only means of communication was via email which sometimes took days to return. This would be stressful for a bride and groom weeks and days before a wedding.

The solarium is quite small. It was quite crammed for space for 90 people.

It’s really too bad that we didn’t have a great experience as the place is very beautiful & I’m sure is great for a small summer wedding.

Edit to add after reply:
January is Saskatchewan is expected to be -20 with a possible windchill of -40 OFTEN. Therefor, when taking booking for winter weddings, this place should have been prepared to accommodate this type of weather. “Winter vortex” are a very common occurrence in January in Saskatchewan. This was not discussed prior to booking. The couple had to find out via communication with a previous bride who had their wedding there in cooler temps & stated it wasn’t as warm was what they were led to believe.

Also, you stated in another reply to a review about the solarium COMFORTABLY hosting 90 people at dinner. There was 86 people at dinner. It was not COMFORTABLE. Tables were crammed. People had to walk sideways to move around. The wedding party didn’t even have room to walk up the isle to the head table. They had to shuffle their way through. Again, when discussed with the couple it was stated that 90 people could comfortably be in there. That is not the case for a wedding.

Attended a beautiful wedding at the Station. The weather co-operated but the a/c in the glass part was needed! Beautiful views, great guest experience. I gave 4/5 stars as the bathroom for guests are communal. A few stalls for everyone to share.
