We eloped at the Wild Rose cabin at Tin Poppy Retreat and it was the most magical day! They organized our florals, cake, officiant, photography, and accommodations. It made our big day stress free and extra special. We were welcomed to the cabin with a beautiful card congratulating us and a tote bag. Such a kind touch. After the ceremony at the Wild Rose lookout, we spent two nights in the cabin. The sauna was very relaxing and the hiking trails had gorgeous views of the valley. The wood fireplace and propane lights in the cabin made evenings cozy while we played cards. The property is very quiet and immersed in nature. Highly recommend staying at Tin Poppy Retreat and if you’re looking for a venue in nature to elope, this is it! 😊
Recently got married at Tin Poppy in September. We utilized their “Lavender Elopement” package and everything turned out absolutely perfect..I tend to worry a lot about things that are out of my control but not once was I worried during this process! My flower bouquet was perfect and the cake was delicious. Location is amazing – lots of hiking trails that my dogs enjoyed. We are already planning our next visit!
Loved every second of my stay! Stayed at Wild Rose cabin previously and loved the area so much I came back with my dog for a stay at Tin Poppy. We had a great time exploring trails and hanging out on the beautiful property. Will be back next summer (and for a longer stay!)
We eloped with tin poppy in june of 2025. We stayed at the lavender Cabin and had such a wonderful experience. Everything was handled meticulously and we got to enjoy our day with 0 stress! The lavender “cabin” is actually huge, our only wish was that we all stayed there together (6 of us total) instead of booking another cabin and that we stayed longer! They accommodated our dogs so well and we are so grateful for them for making our special day seamless. We will be back for a vacation!
Tin Poppy Retreat offered the perfect opportunity to unplug and relax with friends. Clean cozy cabins, great hiking on their trails, dog friendly and close to Larch Hills Ski area.
The property was logged sometime around 1985.
The 160 acres of bare land was purchased in 1992.
Violet Cabin, formerly Temenos, was the first cabin constructed using logs from the property, and was mainly used as a weekend escape.
1998 the Wild Rose Cabin, formerly Ged & Cammie’s Cabin, a locally made log cabin kit was moved onto the property and used a couple times a year for extended family gatherings.
Locally designed, built, and using milled timber from the property Lavender Cabin was built in 2004 out of a desire to live simple, tread lightly, and to live close to nature. Lavender Cabin was thoughtfully created, appreciated and lovingly inhabited by Gail and Brian until 2017.
