Waterfront Park is an absolutely stunning venue. The views of the river combined with the magical winter lights glowing from the trees in Bowness Park create such an awe-inspiring backdrop. It truly feels picturesque from every angle.

Inside, the venue is just as impressive. The ample windows allow for beautiful natural lighting and uninterrupted views of the river, with the added opportunity to step outside and take in the long, breathtaking scenery. There is plenty of space for stunning photographs, making it perfect for capturing special moments.

The upstairs layout is thoughtfully designed, featuring a cozy seating area by the fireplace on one side and a cocktail table setup near the bar and food service on the other. This created the perfect balance — ample room for guests to mix and mingle comfortably, while still offering a calming, intimate space to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Absolutely breathtaking in every way.

Waterfront Parks unfortunately does not transparently advertise their space. The website depicts a modern wedding venue, however, it does not depict that the venue is inside of the Shriners Society. The website does not even state that it is located inside the Shriners building, only at the very bottom of the website is a partnership mentioned. Booked a venue tour only to be very surprised upon arrival.

I cannot recommend Waterfront Parks enough. Peter and Jade went well above and beyond, helping us plan a short notice wedding (we booked less than three months prior to the date in an effort to minimize covid related changes), navigating trying times, and providing unparalleled service. Jade is even pictures in our wedding photos adjusting my dress prior to walking down the isle, and Peter met us on the limo bus to help “hide” me from the guests prior to the service. They were like family throughout the process and I honestly don’t think we would have pulled off the wedding of our dreams without them. The venue is stunning, location is ideal, the food was delicious (and catered to all sorts of weird dietary issues), and the decor was spot on. If you’re thinking about booking waterfront parks with simply elegant, stop thinking and book it. You won’t regret it!

Such a beautiful place to visit. The river in fall, with the changing colors on the trees is amazing. There are paths to walk on, picnic tables for relaxing and a public bathroom too. It’s a must see.

Waterfront was a great choice for our day, we are very happy we chose this venue. Jade was great and thought of everything we needed. She helped us make sure the day ran smoothly and gave us lots of helpful tips. The staff was great at setting up the venue. The florals and decor provided by the venue was exactly what I wanted. The few things that didn’t go perfectly, Simply Elegant made up for in a professional and timely manner. Would absolutely recommend this venue for any wedding!
