This hall has been around since I was a girl and recently the city has been hosting amazing events at little to no cost to the community like movie nights! My family enjoyed Elf there around Christmas time. My concern lies with the amount of unhoused who congregate right near both entrances, openly using substances. This sours the family experience, unfortunately.
Clean outside there was a couple homeless people hanging about BUT they where so respectful and kind they where moving spots I guess and sweeping up there area and other spots that where left messy – just wanted to give a shout out to the couple that are trying to be different
Spacious but the acoustics are like most older buildings. It would be a wonderful place for a winter bazaar!
Have been to a couple dinners put on at the community hall. Was great food!! And just recently there were some fabulous volunteers feeding everyone in the warming bus out of the community hall…was great until they got kicked out of there for the last 2 meals…didn’t phase them much they just had to serve the last 2 meals outta their cars…wonderful people!!! Very sad that the city wouldn’t let them use the hall anymore!!
My 8 month old grandson and myself throughly enjoyed the cultural dances held at the Lions Club this Saturday.
Big thanks to the Islamic group dishing out vegan food.
