The Sault Community Theatre Centre is the largest multi-purpose theatre in Algoma. The large stage, exceptional acoustics and highly experienced staff enable this premier event venue to present works of all genres, from musical theatre to comedy, symphony to rock concerts, dance to award ceremonies.
Description
Stage area includes main, side and rear stages, and an orchestra pit that may be raised to create a thrust stage;
Climate-controlled auditorium consisting of 566 seats on the main floor, and 341 seats in two galleries that can be closed off when not in use (total capacity: 907 seats, including 10 wheelchair seats);
Facilities behind the stage include: green room, dressing rooms (incl. washrooms, showers, and mirrored make-up facilities), a building/assembly area, and the Trixie Hardy Rehearsal Hall that offers the same floor area as the main stage.
